Supporting the children of Wideopen to be amazed, be brave, be original and be bold.

Mrs Gemma Robertson - Headteacher
Welcome back
We were thrilled to see so many happy faces on Monday morning, ready for Spring term. As always, we have lots of fun things planned for the children this half term and we are excited to get started.

What a start we've had ...

The children at Greenfields have started the Spring term with a bang. Not only have they been learning lots of new skills in maths, English and science; they've been exploring the great outdoors, getting to grips with atlases in Geography and continuing swimming lessons in year 4. We've also had whole class music lessons including a drum concert put on by our amazingly talented year 6 children! All this in a week; our children work so hard and as always we are very proud of them.

School club
Remember if you've signed your child/children up to a club, the majority of them start next week. If you haven't and are still interested, we still have space in a few so take a look at the School Gateway or contact the school office.
Rhythm time
Rhythm time is an award-winning, developmental music class for babies, toddlers & pre-schoolers. Currently, a rhythm time class runs every Wednesday morning at Greenfields. If you are interested email Wendy.g@rhythmtime.org and if you quote 'Greenfields' you will get your first class free!

It's sometimes hard to be your true self and not follow the crowd, but at Greenfields we believe that difference should be celebrated and the most important thing is that you have the confidence to be your true self no matter what.

Book
Tacky the Penguin is a delightful story about being true to yourself--even when it means being a little different from everybody else.
Tacky likes to do splashy cannonballs and greet his friends with a loud, "What's happening?" His fellow penguins find his odd behavior somewhat bothersome.
But when fearsome poachers come to the iceberg hunting for penguins, Tacky's odd ways may be just the thing that saves the day
