Supporting the children of Wideopen to be amazed, be brave, be original and be bold.

Mrs Gemma Robertson - Headteacher
Well done
Huge congratulations to our amazing Year 2 children who completed their Secret Agent training this week. They all made us so proud with the determination and resilience they showed.

Year 2 Secret Agent Sleepover

Some of our Year 2 Secret Agents slept at school last night to complete another secret mission. They had fun in Forest School, sat around a campfire, toasted marshmallows, ate pizza and cozied up in their tents to watch a film. They had the best night and are ready to finish Secret Agent Training today with their final missions.

Art at Greenfields

Our children from Year 1 to Year 6 have continued to be artists this half term, learning lots of new skills and creating lovely pieces of artwork.

Year 6 Residential

Some our Year 6 children went on a residential trip to Ford Castle this week. They've had a fantastic time and have thrown themselves into all of the activities. Every day has been jam packed with activities morning, noon and night. They've been on zip lines, completed assault courses, abseiled of a bridge, built rafts, played laser tag, had a disco, shot air rifles, climbed to great heights and so much more. They've really had a wonderful time, making amazing memories.

Nursery Trip to the Ouseburn

Nursey had a wonderful time on their trip to Ouseburn Farm and Seven Stories. They met lots of animals and got the chance to explore some of their favourite books.

At Greenfields we teach our children to be kind to each other and encourage them to do an act of kindness daily.

Watch Lucy stay true to herself as she learns how to confront bullying with kindness! Lucy has big hair, eats fun foods and is teased by a boy named Ralph at school because she is different. She tries to be brave but she wishes the teasing would stop. What should I do? she asks herself over and over. Lucy's Papa Gino reminds her to do the right thing and treat people with kindness. So when Ralph gets stuck on the playground and needs help, will Lucy use this chance to teach Ralph a lesson? Or will she have the courage to be true to herself and make the right choice with an act of kindness? Readers of all ages can empathise with Lucy's brave journey as she sets out to rise above Ralph's mean words, stay true to herself and build her self-esteem every step of the way. It carries the key message of love, courage and positivity.
