We are very lucky to be part of such a fantastic community and we have you to thank for that. The Return of Gilly the Elf
Gilly returned to Greenfields on the 1st December and what havoc he has caused. He's made his way round every classroom and even banished Mrs Banks and I from our office today after taking over the school; we couldn't get any work done!

Ready for the World Awards
Our Ready for the World Awards celebrate when children, in Year 1 - Year 6, have demonstrated outstanding characteristics which will enable them to become successful learners of the future. Over the past two weeks those children who have been awarded a Ready for the World Award are:

At the end of each half term, to go alongside our values, we have an 'All Star' prize. The 'All Star' prize is drawn from the names of children, from Year 1 to Year 6, who always show our school values, who always do the right thing, who always try their very best and who are a good friend. This half term our winner is....
|
A huge well done to Rosie and to all of the children who were part of the 'All Star' Prize draw.

Warm Welcome
Every Monday morning at St Columbas Parish Church in Wideopen between 10am and 12pm, the Church hold a 'warm welcome'. This means that the Church is open to anyone who would like to go along for a hot drink and a scone or a piece of cake. There are craft activities to take part in or if you'd prefer you can simply read a newspaper or do a crossword in the quiet of the Church hall.

A huge thank you to all of you, for your continued support. We couldn't do what we do without you and we are very grateful for that.
|
A huge thank you to the GFPTA, for continuing to support the school in the way that they do. Without their hard work and dedication we wouldn't raise the money that we do to be able to give the children the extra opportunities that they receive.
|
Thank you to our children. They make us proud every day and Greenfields wouldn't be the school that it is without them.
|
Finally, a huge thank you to the staff. They work tirelessly to ensure that the children of Greenfields are nurtured, supported and taught in a way that enables them to meet their full potential.
