Supporting the children of Wideopen to be amazed, be brave, be original and be bold.

Mrs Gemma Robertson - Acting Headteacher

The children had their transition week this week, where they spent time with their new teacher. They all had lots of fun getting to know their new classroom and the staff who are going to be working with them in September.

Meet the Teacher

As part of transition week, families got the chance to come and meet their child's new teacher and see their new classroom. Although it was very hot, it was lovely to see so many of you in school.

Treat Afternoon

On Thursday, the children had a treat afternoon where they took part in a range of fun activities, either at Lockey Park or in Forest School. We all had lots of fun and we certainly enjoyed the treats!

Summer Fayre

Wow! What a fantastic Summer Fayre we've had. Thank you to everyone who came and a huge thank you to the GFPTA for organising such a brilliant event for our community.

Last week, Year 2 went on a trip down to the Quayside to learn all about our bridges as part of their learning on 'The Great Fire of London'.They then returned to school to continue the fun in Forest School. Year 3 went on a trip to Cullercoats Bay, where they enjoyed everything the beach has to offer, including a bag of chips each.

It's Not Goodbye, It's See You Later!

It's time to say goodbye to our amazing Year 6 children. We are all very proud of each an every one of them and we wish them lots of luck for secondary school. Remember to come back and visit - remember it's not goodbye, it's see you later!
Have a lovely summer holidays and we look forward to seeing you all back in school in September!
