Headteacher's Message
What an action packed half term we've already had. It has been a pleasure to see how quickly the children have settled back into school routines and how well they have taken to our new Rights Respecting behaviour system that supports calm and productive learning environments. A Rights Respecting school is where children and adults learn about children’s rights, putting them into practice every day. It is not just about what children do but also, importantly, what adults do. In Rights Respecting Schools children’s rights are promoted and realised, adults and children work towards this goal together. You might hear your children talk about articles and how they are put into practice throughout the school day.

Attendance Matters
As I am sure you are all aware, the government has issued new guidelines to schools about fines. We understand that it's the time of year where bugs begin and this can't but we expect all children to be in school if they can be.
|
Being on time for school is also extremely important. The children begin their learning as soon as they get to their classroom and it is important they don't miss out. School begins at 8.40am and ends at 3.15pm.

We encourage the children of Greenfields to stay curious and follow their dreams. Children have a sense of wonder that we want them to hold on to.

Ada Ríos grew up in Cateura, a small town in Paraguay built on a landfill. She dreamed of playing the violin, but with little money for anything but the bare essentials, it was never an option...until a music teacher named Favio Chávez arrived. He wanted to give the children of Cateura something special, so he made them instruments out of materials found in the trash. It was a crazy idea, but one that would leave Ada—and her town—forever changed. Now, the Recycled Orchestra plays venues around the world, spreading their message of hope and innovation.
