The rain (snow, hail won’t stop us!)

A week or so a go a was talking to Mrs Ayre. We were laughing about the fact that in our Twitter posts or in the Headteacher Blog there is very, very often the mention of the weather. I feel that it would be a bit remiss of me not to mention it this week- as hasn’t it been spectacular.

“Whoever said sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain…” (or sleet, snow, hail)

Once again I have seen our children and staff out in all weathers this week, making sure that our children have danced in the rain; building the mental resilience and the mindset that happiness is not a destination but the journey. Greenfields values are all about appreciating what we have around us, wondering at the marvel of the natural world being amazed by it’s beauty and this term, being bold enough to experience it first hand. So in some ways, my Headteacher blog this week is part weather report (just for you Mrs Ayre!) but part reminder that there is wonder and opportunity in all things- even snow in May.

Have a lovely weekend everyone- wrap up warm!
