Dear families,
Although this half-term is a short one, we've got lots to pack in. Year 6 have their KS2 SATs next week. They are feeling a bit nervous, but we know they will all do amazingly well. Please note that the office will be closed from approximately 9.20am until 11.15am Monday to Thursday next week. Please ensure you are on time as there will be no one in the office to let you into school.
Year 2 are also completing their 'Secret Agent Training' during the last week of this half-term. On Thursday night, they complete their mission by taking part in lots of fun activities followed by a sleepover at school.
Year 1 have their first class assembly on Friday 23rd May at 2.15pm. This is an opportunity for them to share their learning with you and I know they can't wait.
Clubs start next week and there are lots on offer, from football to crafts to roller skating; there's lots for everyone to enjoy. There are still spaces left in some clubs, so if you want to book your child into one, please contact the school office, who will tell you what is available.
Thank you to everyone who is parking safely around the school site and the surrounding areas. Please can I remind you that the accessible parking bays are only to be used by those people who have a blue badge. If you haven't been issued with a blue badge, you should not be parking in these bays.
Our whole school attendance figure for 2024-25 is currently 94.6%. This is in line with the National Average. Thank you to all parents and carers who continue to support the best attendance. We have seen a lot of improvement in individual attendance, and we see the difference this makes to pupils both academically and pastorally. Please continue to get in touch if you are experiencing any difficulties with attendance, or you are worried about your child’s attendance - we are here to help.
We break up for May half-term on Friday 23rd May, returning to school on Monday 2nd June.
Best wishes,
Mrs Gemma Robertson
