Pupil Voice
At Greenfields there is a strong emphasis on citizenship, co-operation and responsibility. Pupils have a voice through the School Council, as well as other positions of responsibility, e.g. House Captains, Class Ambassadors and Play leaders. They are proud to represent and contribute to their school and their community.
School Councillors work very hard on behalf of all the children in school to put forward their opinions and ideas. Our School Council meet regularly and have already been part of different initiatives this academic year:

In January, our School Council were asked to take part in a ‘Global Sustainability’ club. This is the world’s first Globe From Home Virtual Climate Sessions, where the children embark on six immersive online journeys exploring key sustainability issues.
What to expect?
Live-Streamed Virtual Visits: Travel in real-time to different countries and witness the impact of climate change.
Expert Insights: Engage with leading experts and communities directly affected by climate change, gaining first-hand knowledge about their challenges and solutions.
Global Connections: Build meaningful connections across borders and cultures while exploring diverse perspectives on sustainability.

Mini Police
The Mini Police is a volunteer engagement scheme for primary school children aged 8 to 11 years old. The scheme provides an educational and fun way for children to associate positively with policing from an early age. It also encourages them to get involved in their local community.
Our local police community support officers (PCSOs) came into school at the start of the year to introduce the mini-police to our Year 5 children. Before February half-term, our mini-police were selected and a ceremony was held with parents and carers to present our mini-police with their new uniforms and badges. So far, our mini-police have been helping out on the yard at breaktimes and lunchtimes to make sure everyone is engaged in games and making sure everyone feels included.
