Clubs
We have a variety of clubs taking place after school either run by school staff or outside providers. The majority of clubs run for 10 weeks, and we aim to provide our children with a range of extracurricular opportunities. At lunchtime, we have the Den for KS2 children and The Rainbow Room for reception and KS1 children, both of which provide a space for those children needing pastoral support. We also have a library club and zones on our yards that children access on a rota, including a bike track.
Our clubs are very popular and are often full. We send our offering out each term and bookings can be made on the School Gateway App: https://login.schoolgateway.com/0/auth/login
Our after-school clubs include activities such as music, art, skating, drama and football. Here is this term's offering of after-school clubs:

Kielder Observatory
At Greenfields, we have a strong link with Kielder Observatory. Every year in the autumn or spring term, we have an astronomy club, where children who sign up, have the chance to talk to astronomers from Kielder Observatory and learn all about space. This then finishes with a trip up to the observatory to see real-life astronomers in action.
In November this year, we were very excited to welcome two astronomers to Greenfields who hosted a Stargazing session for families. They got the chance to go into the planetarium, did star-gazing through state-of-the-art telescopes on the school yard and enjoyed some craft activities with hot chocolate and biscuits. It was a great success with over 50 families taking part, and we can't wait to welcome the observatory back to Greenfields next academic year.
