…Well…that’s been a bit of a different end to the week, hasn’t it?
For me, it has felt like a week of the highest highs and yet also the lowest lows. Yesterday was a day of complete contrasts; not 3 hours had passed since we had had to take the saddening decision to temporarily close school for face to face teaching, and I found myself sat at my desk watching groups of the most inspirational young people being just fantastic. It made me give myself a bit of a shake and stop feeling sorry for myself.
Mrs Robertson and I often say to each other when things are tricky, “…it could be worse…” and then we list all the ways the situation could be worse, which, if I’m honest often ends up in some rather silly suggestions, but it’s a good way to lighten the mood.
So if Mrs Robertson and I were playing that game today and she said to me that it could be worse, I think this would be my response…
…it could be worse if we didn’t have such a fabulous community supporting us…
…it could be worse if we didn’t have such dedicated staff who can, at the drop of a hat deliver absolutely top notch remote learning for our children…
…it could be worse if we didn’t have such resilient children who just keep on showing us how truly brilliant they are…
Thank you everyone.
