Supporting the children of Wideopen to be amazed, be original, be brave and be bold.

Mrs Ele Dobson- Headteacher
As we come to the end of the this half term we wanted to share with you some of the fabulous images taken of your children enjoying the great outdoors. Our outdoor learning curriculum has become all the more important to us at Greenfields in the last 15 months. When we surveyed the children, they have told us how much they love having the opportunity to work with their friends in our woodland space- there's always an adventure to be had!

As a school we know how important it is for our children to be outside in the fresh air; the skills they can develop and the benefits it brings are countless.

Its been lovely to watch the children learning without realising... and enjoying being children.

Sports for Champions

This week you will have received a letter telling you all about one of the exciting events we have planned for the children during National Sports Week.

Together with Sports for Champions, we will be hosting elite gymnast Jaydon Paddock in school on 22nd June. Jaydon will be talking to the children about the importance of hard work and determination and supporting them to complete a sponsored fitness circuit.

If you would like to sponsor your child to complete the circuit, you can either pledge a sponsor on the form that came home with the letter, or donate on our crowdfunder page using this link.

Thank you!

Reading recommendation

"The Hobbit" J.R.R Tolkien

Is this the best adventure story ever written? If you haven't ever read it, or, had it read to you, why not over half term? It tells the magnificent tale of bravery and adventure beyond measure; a must read for every child and grown up at least once!

Parking on Taylor Avenue

We are respectfully asking parents and carers to park with consideration in our local streets. Please do be careful not to block the driveways of local residents or to park on the footpaths.

Thank you for your support.
After the very challenging 12 months we all have faced, I know some families may be looking ahead and thinking about holidays for the future- please see the school calendar with term dates for the academic year 2021/22. Please note the training days when school will be closed to children. We are respectfully requesting families not to book holidays during term time- they will not be authorised. I am sure that you would agree with me; it is really very important that your children are in school for the whole of the year.

Drop off and collection times - please make sure that you are keeping to your bubble stagger time for collection and drop offs.

Times are as follows:
