On Thursday, we welcomed Warrant Officer Class 2 Darren Chrisp back to school alongside Csgt. Richard Stacy to support us in our Remembrance Day Service. It was lovely to see so many of you there and our children did us proud.

Astronomer Visits

Our children got the chance to take part in two workshops with two astronomers from Kielder Observatory this week. They learnt so many interesting facts whilst having fun; we didn't want the astronomers to leave!

Parent Pay - school lunches

Payment for School Lunches
We have been contacted by a number of families unsure about the new North Tyneside payment system for school lunches. Joinos has been replaced by parentpay.

We would urge all of our parents to register with parentpay by emailing: parentpay@northtyneside.gov.uk (even if you are entitled to free school meals / universal infant free school meals) as this is not only an online payment facility but an important form of communication with the catering team at the Local Authority.

We are also aware in the roll out of this new system, some parents have received letters requesting payment.

If you have any questions or queries relating to this please email parentpay@northtyneside.gov.uk where a member of the Local Authority catering team will be able to help you.

Thank you

In our half term value,
...be brave... we encourage children to 'confront your fears and take a chance.' We would love to hear how you have confronted your fears recently.

Reading recommendation

'Brave Molly' is a modern classic that looks at everyday acts of bravery and the power of friendship to banish the monsters that haunt us.

What do you do when no one can see your monsters but you? At first, Molly runs from them. But they follow her down the sidewalk, getting in the way when she tries to make a new friend, popping up unexpectedly out of shadows, and multiplying. Until finally...Molly faces her fears.
