Wow!
What a fantastic half term!

The picture above is just a very small selection of images to showcase what a fabulous half term we've had despite all its challenges.

I hope that you all feel very proud of all you have achieved!

Friendship Fence
Your messages are at last taking pride of place along the fence at the back of school. Make sure that you find the time over the holidays to take a walk out to read them. They look absolutely lovely!

We wanted to say an enormous thank you to our families for making the video of messages and photos. There were lots and lots of emotional staff watching it today. The overwhelming feeling was one of pride. You should feel enormously proud of the the joint effort between school and home this half term- well done all of us!

...be original...
This term the school value we will be focusing on is...
...be original..
~ never stop asking questions...seek out the answers ~
Be original is shown by the hands on our logo; they represent the importance of fostering our children to be questioning and evaluative of all they see and hear. This term you will see that children are encouraged to think originally about what they have learnt, develop an insatiable hunger for knowledge and question everything.

Staffing update
We will be saying a very fond farewell to Miss Smith who has decided to retire. She has played an enormously important role in school as a class teacher and colleague; I know that many of our families who have had children taught by her will miss her gentle and nurturing manner and her relentless determination to do what is right for the children at Greenfields. We will miss her creativity and her sense of fun. We all wish her well on this new stage of her life!
To ensure that we can keep as much continuity for all of the children as possible, Miss Harrison will now be moving to Year 5. Mr Coverdale and Mrs Robertson supported by Mrs Beattie will be teaching the Year 4 children.
The children in Year 4 will be registered together as one group, but be in groups for their teaching time. Thank you for the support the senior leaders received from families when sharing this news directly with the affected classes earlier in the week.
