Greenfields Friends Parents and Teachers Association (GFPTA) launched in October 2018. They support school by raising money and providing social activities for pupils and their families. All staff, parents and carers can be members and attend meetings of GFPTA . A small group of parents/carers take the role of the Committee within GFPTA, but everyone is welcome and those not able to attend meetings are also valued as helpers to run and support events.
Money raised by GFPTA is used to provide extra resources in school such as waterproof clothing for Forest School, books for the library, equipment for the playground and play areas. They have also provided funding for extra-curricular activities and buses for trips. Fundraising events include summer fairs, and raffles along with sales of items made by the children.
GFPTA runs social events such as discos, pizza and bingo nights for children and their families to enjoy together.
Parents/carers all have the opportunity to join in with ‘My School Lottery’ which raises funds and allows them to win a cash prize while doing so. There is also an ‘Easyfundraising’ page that allows the school to earn donations as you shop online at a large number of stores. GFPTA is also a member of ‘Parentkind’ and have adopted their model constitution and are currently in the process of applying to be a registered charity.
For more details on joining GFPTA or gettting involved in events, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the members of the committee around school.
