FoG (Friends of Greenfields) supports school by raising money and providing social activities for pupils and their families. All parents and carers can be members of FoG and attend meetings which are held once every half term. A small group of parents/carers and school staff attend regularly and take the role of officers within FoG but everyone is welcome and those not able to attend meetings are also valued as helpers to run and support events.
Money raised by FoG is used to provide extra resources in school such as cameras, waterproof clothing for Forest School, curtains for the stage in the hall and more recently new school books. They have also provided funding for extra-curricular activities and buses for trips. Fundraising events include summer fairs, and raffles along with sales of items made by the children and cake stalls.
FoG runs social events such as discos, pizza and bingo nights for children and their families/carers to enjoy together.
Parents/carers all have the opportunity to join in with the X Marks the Spot game to win a cash prize.
For more details on joining FOG or its events please contact Katie Davidson (Chair) or Lynsey Hally (Treasurer and Secretary).
