Are you dreaming of achieving something…? The day I became the Headteacher of Greenfields I had achieved one of my dreams; and that’s the thing about dreams you can have more than one to keep working towards and just because you achieve one doesn’t mean that you should stop.
This week at Greenfields I have had several conversations with children about what they want to achieve as they grow up- the most recent was with one of our Year 6’s this morning. She had brought me some fabulous home learning where she had researched about the animals she was interested in. When I asked her what she wanted to be when she grew up, she answered like this; “I don’t know…yet.”
I think that’s a really good way to answer that question….
At Greenfields we’re here to show the children whatever their dreams are; even if they’re not sure what their dreams are…yet… we can give them the skills and knowledge to open the doors to make them a reality. So following that conversation this morning, if you asked me if I have achieved my dreams, I would answer.. “not all of them…yet.” What about you?
