Our teacher is called Miss Taylor and she is available on the playground every morning and every afternoon if you would like to talk to her or have any questions. If you would prefer to talk in private, just ask Miss Taylor for an appointment before or after school.
We love to explore all areas of the curriculum to develop our skills and become independent learners in 1T. We know that we need to use our ‘Learning Habits’ to learn at our best. Some of us are working on being ‘Positive Penguins’, others are working on being ‘Reflective Rabbits’. You can take a look at our ‘Learning Habits’ by clicking on this link: GCPS Learning Habits
To find out what we are learning about this half term please look at our Curriculum Overview.
We love striving to be the best we can be so we all select our own targets in Maths and English. When we have achieved our target we get to put them in the goal.
We have enjoyed lots of lovely extra-curricular activities whilst being in 1T here are a few pictures of the exciting experiences we have had so far.
Important things to remember:
Water Bottles – children can bring their own water bottle into school and leave it by the sink in the classroom. Please make sure that water bottles only have water inside.
Reading Folders – Your child needs their reading folder in school every day. We read often in school, but we change our reading books on a Friday afternoon.
PE – In 1T our PE days are Thursdays and Fridays. Please make sure your child has their PE kit in school on these days. PE kit consists of a white t- shirt, black shorts and plimsolls/sand shoes.
Homework – Homework will be sent home every Friday and needs to be completed and returned to school by Wednesday morning.
